KUVEMPU CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS

E-KAVI planning to contact all Kannada Kootas all over the world in asking them to have atleast a program focusing on KUVEMPU starting from December 29th, 2003 and December 29th, 2004.

E-KAVI is doing this to have KUVEMPU CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS in all countries during the year.

E-KAVI has written letters to most of the Kannada Kootas all over the world regarding KUVEMPU CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS.

E-KAVI has started a group called as KUVEMPU@yahoogroups.com for Kannadigas and Kannada Kootas to subscribe and to corodinate the activities in central locattion. This helps Kannadigas and Kannada Kootas to know about the programs happenning in different areas about KUVEMPU CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS.

E-KAVI has established central CALENDER for this at KUVEMPU@yahoogroups.com so that Kootas and Kannadigas can post their activities from the local areas.

E-KAVI is suggesting that, It is good for all Kannadigas and Kannada Kootas to celebrate KUVEMPU's many facets and contributions through the year. This could be done in an organised way.

E-KAVI is trying to identify regional coordinators with in USA and outside USA.

E-KAVI is trying to identify Kootas interested in hosting events to coincide with their regular yearly program calendar. Coordinate between the Kootas to avoid schedule conflicts.

E-KAVI is requesting for Kannadigas and Kootas to identify and gather list of experts and other talent in USA and other countries with KUVEMPU as the focus and send it to

E-KAVI is requesting Kootas to identify each person or team with areas of interest / expertise. Examples of areas could fall in the lines of literary genres like poetry, novel, drama and life history of KUVEMPU.

E-KAVI is discussing an event to be planned in the year end 2004 - during 3rd quarter - publication dedicated to KUVEMPU. Very important contribution in authoring and publication arena for NRIs is to translate selected short works of KUVEMPU to English.

Very Important: Translation projects from Kannada to English is posied to become the key contribution to propel literary and cultural heritage of Karnataka to the rest of the world. People from Karnataka and NRIs alike are especially qualified to take this prudent responsibility; a collaborative effort between the two would maximize the benefit to the reputation of Karnataka in the world.

E-KAVI is in the discussion and planning stage to coordinate travel plans of NRIs to Karnataka to arrange attendance at one or two of the major KUVEMPU activities in Karnataka.

E-KAVI is suggesting the following types of programs Centenary Celebartions:

Drama,
Poetry reading,
A panel discussion,
A book exhibition of Kuvempu's works,
Dances choreographed for KuVemPu's songs,
Book review session including the Ramayana Darshana,
Kuvempu's contribution to sarvodaya and the Independence movement,

E-KAVI is requesting any one in your organization wants to do different programs other than mentioned above, please try to send that information. Let everyone know about that and this helps in sharing the information through E-KAVI.

E-KAVI is requesting for information from Kannadigas and Kootas all over the world.
