Dear Kannadigas,
NAVARAATRI HABBADA SHUBAASHAYAGALU
Many Kannadigas and Kannada organizations from different parts of the world have expressed interest in an international organization to provide forum for Kannada literature and culture that organizes events in all parts of the world few times periodically every year. In addition, Kannadigas have expressed interest in the following type of activities in the organization:
* holistic suite of activities of Karnataka culture and literature.
* network of all kannada associations in all parts of the world.
*to strenghten the activities of Kannadigas all over the world and to create a unified voice.
In response, Kannadigas from all over the world have formed the infrastructure for 'International Kannada Vedike' to fulfill this need.
We are extremely happy and proud that celebrated Kannada author and Former Vice Chancellor of Hampi Kannada University Dr. Chandrashekar Kambar has kindly consented to inaugurate it. The details of the event are:

The first international conference of INTERNATIONAL KANNADA VEDIKE, titled "Kannada International Saahitya Sammelana" is scheduled to be held on December 27 and 28, 2003 in Southern California with cooperation of Karnataka Cultural Association of Southern California "KCA of SC" and in East Coast in cooperation with BHOOMIKAA.org during January 10th and 11th, 2004 (number of days will be decided upon participation from that area).
