We have conducted several literary competitions, seminars, theatre workshops etc. and staged more than twenty-five plays and also published five literary works in kannada so far. We have given lot of opportunities for the upcoming artists and writers to expose their hidden talents. Now we have started our literary and cultural activities in U.A.E. Part of our current years programme we decided to conduct a poetry writing competition in kannada for non-resident Kannadigas. We will award the writer of the best entry as "Dhwani - Kavi Shresta", and felicitate them with certificate and monument. We will also publish all the poems we received for competition with the photograph and address of the respective writers in the collection of poems called "ABHIJATA". Ten copies of the printed collection of poems will be forwarded to each participant through post free of cost. We here by invite all non- resident kannadiga writers to participate and utilize the opportunity. Terms and conditions are as under: 1. Poem should be written in kannada script only and not been published any where in India or abroad. 2. Poem should not exceed 25 lines or not less than 15 lines in A4 size paper. 3. Writer should write their full address in separate sheet and attach one copy of passport size photograph along with the poetry. 4. Juries appointed by Dhwani will select the best poem for award. 5.
