| Houston Kannada Vrinda has scheduled its annual Ugadi celebrations on April 10, 2004 at Meenakshi Temple Society Kalyana Mantapam, Pearland, Texas. Annual Elections and General Body meeting are also scheduled to be held on the same day at the same place at 5:05 pm. A new Board of Directors for the years 2004-2006 will be elected. After this meeting, Ugadi celebrations will begin. Prof. Holalkere Chandrashekar, from Columbia, Missouri, will be presiding today's program as a chief guest. He has transcribed Hale(old) Kannada Bhagavatha manuscript into modern Kannada and will demonstrate his works. Many entertainment activities such as fusion dance, Kannada drama have been planned.
Admission fee ( which includes dinner) : Current Members $6, If you are not a member in 2004, $10. Children between 5 and 12: $3 and free admission for children under 5. Admission tickets are needed for the dinner.
